El fuego se inició alrededor de 19:40 en un edificio de tres pisos, que fue utilizado como estudio de la película de suspense estadounidense protagonizada por Pierce Brosnan, Lake Bell y Owen Wilson, quien informó que "apenas pudo escapar" de las llamas. Diez bomberos tardaron unos 30 minutos en controlar el incendio. Los informes dijeron que el incendio destruyó 11 unidades en el edificio.
